I had a few thoughts on the new election, and thought that perhaps we could expand further on it. Here are a number of ideas, and yes, while it will be a hard thing to organize, I think it can be done well, and will help provide for more immersion for the fellow RP’ers who spend much time in Breeland. As it has been sponsored by the Bree Tribune, there has recently been an election for the Bree Justice… and
well… I’ll lay this new idea I had out in an outline.
There will be three elected officials. (They are similar to the checks and balances that the U.S. government has.)
·
The Bree-Town Executive Commissioner or “Chief
Watcher”
The Chief watcher’s rolls will be one primary goal: To ensure the safety and security of the residents of
Bree-Town and its surrounding villages, including Combe and Archet. How they will fulfill this roll:
1. They will be in charge of appointing watchers and watchmen to patrol the Town of Bree and ensure its safety, as well, watch its gates to protect them from outside influences that intend to do harm.
2. In short: These are the policemen of Bree. Their
job is not to bring harm to the people of Bree nor are they to wish to give
outsiders a hard time. They simply wish to keep their town safe and that is the
goal that their income is supporting.
·
The Bree-Town Judicial Commissioner or “Chief Justice”
The chief justice’s primary goal is to maintain its checks on the executive authority of Bree by conducting fair trials for criminals or people taken into custody by the Watchers of Bree. He can appoint other justices who will act as a jury to the convicted and are to ensure that those convicted of a crime will be tried justly. Other jobs the chief justice and his other “lesser” justices will have:
1. Should the Watchmen wish to put a convicted
criminal to death, or have them serve time after being detained, they must receive
warrant from a Justice. The justices ensure that the executive authorities of
Bree do not abuse their powers for the worse of the people of Bree.
·
The Bree-Town Legislatures or “Town Council”
The Town Council is the most powerful branch of the law of Bree. Their goal: “To make living conditions, and law conditions better for the people of Bree. How do they do this? They are the voice of the people. IF the people of Bree feel that they have been wronged, or wish to have an appeal to a law or trial, they will bring it up to the Town Council, and the Council will take a vote for the appeal. They are the final say for the Law of Bree and have the ability to pardon any criminal, and overpower the decisions of other parts of the Bree government. The Town Council will probably be made up of five to 9 members. An odd number so no votes are ever even.
Anyway, I’m really excited about this idea, and I hope people would like to see it put into motion.

I wouldn't mind seeing this too. Just hope we don't get attacked again.
